Hello, I'm Rowan! I'm a print and pattern maker based in Glasgow. I enjoy designing concepts that communicate feelings of childhood free-spirit, joy and nostalgia. My style is representative of the kitsch movement and I am inspired by bright colours, excessive garishness and sentimental objects.
Hello, I'm Rowan the creator of hot girl studio. I'm a 23 year old recent graduate from Heriot-Watt University where I studied a BA Hons in printed textiles.
Within my practice of printmaking, I enjoy designing concepts that communicate feelings of childhood free-spirit, joy and nostalgia. I strengthen these ideas through methods like screen print and applique as well as gouache painting that has become a staple medium within my design process. My style is representative of the kitsch movement; I enjoy using bright colours, excessive garishness and sentimental objects.
I started hot girl studio while studying in my fourth year of uni. It began as a way to earn some extra money, however I've discovered a passion for selling my own creations and seeing people buy and display/wear my work is so rewarding. I believe strongly in female empowerment and I believe everyone should feel like a hottie when wearing my designs. Hot girl studio scarves come in three sizes and are digitally printed on a sustainably produced polyester blend. From start to finish, all production in located in the UK and scarves are made to order so there is zero waste.
