My name is Gem and I am the founder/maker behind Gemmy Beary. I am based in sunny California and work at home in my little bedroom. I started Gemmy Beary because crocheting has become my passion and I wanted to make items that would bring smiles to people's faces. I am easily inspired by baby animals, florals, and pastel colors which can be reflected in my brand. I do my very best to keep Gemmy Beary as sustainable as possible. Most items are made from secondhand yarn. By sourcing materials secondhand, I am decreasing the demand on new materials, which is better for the environment. Gemmy Beary strives to promote the normalization of eco-friendly business practices and slow fashion.
